Who we are

Common Unity, based at The Remakery in Lower Hutt, is the umbrella under which community enterprises enable skills development, employment, connection, and resilience. Our vision is that every child has a village. Our purpose is to enable our community to feed, connect, regenerate, and nourish itself using strengths that already exist.

We have a network of urban farms and beehives that are part of our community food hub, which includes a community cafe, a grocer co-op, and a commercial kitchen. This enables us to provide meals and healthy low-cost options for school children, whānau, and vulnerable citizens, recycle materials into beautiful goods, run a bicycle workshop and library, and much more

Your contribution helps us to keep the magic happening. Together we grow.

The difference your donation could make: $10 provides 4 meals to vulnerable families; $20 provides 8 meals; $50 funds tools and skills to refurbish new bikes; $100 funds skills training for rangitahi in our cafe; $1,000 funds a farm to produce the produce to feed a community!
