Gemmaโ€™s 29th Birthday Pledge ๐ŸŽ‰

To celebrate my birthday Iโ€™m asking my friends and whaanau to give to a charity close to my heart instead of buying gifts ๐Ÿ’› To me, Seed Waikato is about community. Itโ€™s about having a safe space to belong, where you can be your authentic self and totally accepted as you are. Itโ€™s about EXPERIENCING well-being by learning real tools and hearing relatable stories that inspire positive changes. Itโ€™s about recognising your own unique strengths and talents, and utilising them to live a purpose-driven life you love. And with these things, seeing a generation of young people empowered to make real contributions to society; whether thatโ€™s working, studying, parenting, being on a board, voting, entrepreneurship or volunteering! Help me reach my goal of $500 raised ๐Ÿ’ธ Some ideas ๐Ÿ’ก โ˜•๏ธ $5 for a coffee ๐ŸŒž $10 petrol for a hike ๐Ÿณ $20 for lunch ๐Ÿ’ $40 for flowers ๐Ÿ’†โ€โ™€๏ธ $80 for a surf lesson ๐ŸŽถ $100 for a gig

Gemma Major's 27th Birthday!

I'm turning 27, and it's my last birthday before our little human comes along. There's no better time to say ka kite to consumerism and kia ora to doing good! Instead of shouting me a coffee or a meal, going for a roady to the beach, buying some flowers or a present, this year I'm asking you to donate to Seed Waikato. Seed Waikato is a passion project that I've been working on for nearly 3 years now with the most incredible group of young people, and we are in big need of donations and grants to fund our 2019 projects. We are a registered charity passionate about improving the wellbeing of millennials. We run inspiring events and workshops, and this year will launch an online education platform, and a partnership to drive more young people into governance. A few years ago I pledged by birthday to improving mental health via the Black Dog Institute in Australia and raised $500, and my goal this year is to hit $500+ IDEAS: $5 for a coffee | $15 for a roadtrip to to Raglan for the day | $27 for 27 years on the planet | $40 for flowers | $60 for dinner & drinks | $100 coz you can | $250+ (and I'll take you out for coffee haha) Massive aroha to you all for believing in me, our dream for Seed Waikato, and for making a donation.
